  1. I have just finished reading a new book to the library called Stone Fox by John Reynolds Gardiner. It is about a 10 year old boy who lives with his Grandfather. When his Grandfather gets sick, Willie has to find a way to bring in the potato harvest. But that was not the only problem facing Willie. The novel takes you on an adventure with Willie and his dog Searchlight to an unusual end. This book will make you laugh and maybe cry and is suitable for your teachers to read to you or for students from years 5 to 8. I think both boys and girls would enjoy it. A good read 8/10

  2. I was reading the book" My best fiends and other enemies." This is when Jessica’s best friend goes off with new-girl Amelia, Jessica is hurt but determined not to take it. She has a plan, and a secret weapon – her drawing skills. After all, and having a sense of humour wins Jessica far more friends than she loses. A funny, wise story that will touch a nerve with everyone who reads it. I think that most girls will like this

  4. I have finished reading a book called For the love of Horses By Kelly Wilson. It's about the Wilson sisters, Vicki, Kelly and Amanda Wilson. It is about the life of horses from start to today. It is a heartfelt story with beginnings in Northland. Kelly talks about what they did when they were young like jumping on there horses bare back, all their accidents. How they climbed up the levels of heights. Then about having their Grand Prix showjumping team. Part two is about the wild kaimanawa horses. How they saved them from the slaughterhouse and trained them for ages and then got to being able to ride them along the beach, loading them on the truck, and jumping them over little jumps and lots of other thing they will need to be able to do.
It is an amazing book it will make you smile laugh and cry. I recommend it to people who love horses and anyone over the age of 8 could read it. I rate it a 9/10

  5. My book report on……
    Looking glass girl. By:Cathy Cassidy!
    The looking glass girl blurb
‘’It happened so quickly i was falling falling falling into the darkness’’
Alice nearly didn't go to the party. Why would savvy the queen of the school invite someone like her.
Now alice is lying unconscious in a hospital bed
Lost in a wonderland of dreams of half form memories, she's surrounded by voices - the doctor, her worried friends and luke.
When the accident happened her world vanished- can alice ever find her way back?

The looking glass girl is a book about a girl called Alice whose best friends Elaine and Yaz grew apart as they got older alice does acting and when they moved to there new school Elaine and Yaz made a new friend Savannah (Savvy). Savvy started getting Elaine and Yaz to do her dirty work and prank Alice like putting raw egg in her bag and chewed toffee in her hair and etc .Then out of the blue Savvy invited her to her sleepover.Alice was about to not go to the party but hearing Yaz say she missed her was the encouragement she needed to go. It was an Alice in wonderland theme so Alice dressed as Alice. They had decorated it like you were stepping into wonderland. At the party the girls had invited some boys over and they started to play spin the bottle. After the boys left they played hide and seek when Elaine and Alice go and hide in the basement and the power goes out. Elaine goes to ‘’Check it out’’ and as she goes she locks the door behind her and Alice is looked down after many attempts to get out she realises someone had come back and unlocked the door. Alice was hurt and furious she marches back up to the room and burst into the room and started yelling at Savvy when savvy explained the Elaine wasn't supposed to lock the door she took it to far. Then Elaine stood up and told Alice that she doesn't like her then she grabbed Alice's wrist and let her fall down the stairs down and down she fell until she hit the bottom. When she hit the bottom she knocked over a mirror and that's how she got into wonderland and entered a coma.
